Looking back at the wonderful time I had making things with clay at Gallery 17 in Beckenham. I was never interested in throwing conventional pots, but coiling and sculpting became an obsession. Much of my inspiration came from the British Museum and looking at pottery of the past. Also the sculptures of Matisse and Rodin.
