I spent a week in July at the Urban Sketcher's Symposium in Porto. Hundreds or sketchers descended on the town for a feast of drawing around the streets, seeing each other's work and generally learning.
This is Vimara Perez, the first King of Portugal. At least it's a rather ludicrously romantic statue of the 9th century knight, made in 1968 and placed in front of Porto Cathedral. Pen and wash.
