Recently I have been concentrating on sketching using pen and wash. I love the immediacy of it. Taking a sketchbook everywhere and recording scenes that strike a chord, then taking them home is so satisfying. Subjects range from local events around South London, cafes and gardens, family, and further afield.

Pastels were my first medium, smudging and mixing on the paper, you can really get your hands dirty. Also exploring watercolour.
I love clay. My ceramics are stoneware, mainly coil-built, inspiration largely from the British Museum and ancient pottery. Small figures seem to grow by themselves.

I belong to the SE20 Art Group, and South London Women Artists, and am now part of Pengetout, a pop-up shop at 109 High Street Penge.

If you have any comments, or would like to buy a picture or pot, please go to the contacts page, come into the shop, or email. Sketch prints are £15 unframed and mounted, £30 framed for 30x40cms.
